Hello my beautiful blog family, how are you doing? I am doing well with food and the scale.
So, if you’ve followed my last post, you know that I completed a week smoothie fast. I enjoyed the results and only had one day of headache which was my third day in. So what am I doing now? Well…
Most of my meals have been a mix of rice, and veggies, or rice and beans. The pictures above is of two different meals. The first one is a mix of Quinoa & Brown Rice, Olives, Spinach, Peppers, Onions, and Avocado. The second plate is merely Northern beans, Tomatoes n Chives, Brown Rice, and Cornbread. This past week I’ve had veggie pizza, and I’ve had a couple of veggie tacos. As for the dessert? NONE! Yep, I haven’t put so much as a cookie in my mouth! Oh but don’t clap yet! This happened on Superbowl Sunday…
Yep! If you know me, then you know I absolutely LOVE #Edible Arrangements! I love the chocolate covered strawberries and the chocolate covered bananas! It is soooooooo good!
My “crew” surprised me with this bouquet when they found out I was having a “dark moment” since leaving my crappy job, and I lost a close friend due to arguments. So my emotions had been in roller coaster mode. (If you are an Empath and Introvert like I am, then you understand what I am going through.)
So…I have been eating and sharing my bouquet all week. I gave away the heart candy you see there, but I have been eating the other chocolate covered fruit. I was scared that I would gain back the weight that I lost, but as of today, I only lost 1 pound this week. I’m not angry at only losing one pound because at least I didn’t gain more!
My journey is never ending and the results are slow. The key is to remember that slow is better than nothing at all. Don’t ever stop and before you know it, you will achieve your goals! NEVER GIVE UP!
