Hello my beautiful blog family! How have you been doing today? I hope all is well with everyone. I am doing well myself. I have another review for you from “The Vegan Secret Shopper”.
I had the pleasure of visiting The Wild Cow restaraunt a couple of weeks ago. What did I think of the Vegan restaraunt? Well, let me get into the details and I will let you know. The restaurant is located in a nice little strip in east Nashville. There are other little shops in the same strip so you have to keep a look out, or you might just miss the restaurant. The address is 1896 Eastland Ave. in Nashville, TN. You can check out their website at thewildcow.com. The website says Vegetarian Restaurant but Google has Vegan. I was thrilled to find out that they not only serve both Vegan and Vegetarian, but also have gluten-free on the menu too!
So…I liked the parking lot on the side of the Wild Cow, which had plenty of room and was paved. I really didn’t pay attention to any of the sites around because it was a day that I was really hungry! Lol. You’ve had some of those days I’m sure. 🙂
When I got to the front door, it appeared small on the outside, but this is a mere illusion to what I found on the inside. There was a hostess that greeted us and asked how many to our party. Since it was only two, it was rather easy for us to find a seat. The feel of the restaraunt put me in the mind of those diners you see on television. The not too big, but not too small feeling.
The waitress was super friendly so that was definitely a plus! The people there were …different. I say different because the people who were there when I visited put me in the mind of “free spirits”. I felt completely comfortable as I have to say I am one too. I saw one lady with lots of tatoos, cute ones though, not the “scary” type. Lol. I saw another lady who had green and purple locs in her hair. I was also happy with that as I also have locs. I saw a few guy talking about veganism, and business. Someone else was talking about their kids, and still I heard another bragging about her roommate. Now if I had a complaint (which I don’t), it may be the fact that we were close to the “neighbor” and I could hear the whole conversation. This might be a bit of a distraction for the average Empath, but luckily, the conversation was delightful so it didn’t bother me. *smiles*
When our food arrived I was more than ready to “dig in”! I ordered the Tempeh sandwich that was made sort of like a Philly sandwich.
On the side I had chips and Spinach dip. The sandwich came with a dipping sauce. The result? Well…
The sandwich was a 3 to me…but the dip! OMG! That was the BEST vegan Spinach dip I had ever had! It was AAAAAMMMMMAAAZING!! I’m telling you, the dip was so good that I wanted to ask for the recipe! I really had to hold myself not to ask. Lmbo!
The meal was good and my partner in crime loved the spicy choice on the plate too. I can’t remember what it was, and no…I didn’t take a pic. sorry.:(
On my way out I did manage to get dessert, I grabbed one of the lovely looking brownies on the counter.(It was also vegan!) It wasn’t until after I left that I noticed the brownie had come from a local bakery in the area. The brownie I had was a VERY delicious Triple Chocolate Brownie with maple sweetener, and it was HEAVENLY!!! The bakery is called Vegan Vee and is a gluten-free bakery located at 306 46th Ave. North in Nashville,TN. You can visit them on Facebook too just like the Wild Cow.
My experience with BOTH eateries? I give them….. five stars!! ***** I loved them and look forward to visiting again. I already have an idea of what I want to try next! If you are looking for Vegan/Vegetarian and happen to be visiting the awesome state of Tennessee, go to The Wild Cow, and check out Vegan Vee too!
That’s all for now. I hope this post helped someone looking for Vegan hotspots! Until next time….I am always…Naturalee Happee! 😉
