Today’s recipe is under 30 minutes! You will need these ingredients for a quick and healthy meal in minutes.
*Whole grain or Wheat spaghetti
*chopped Onions and Bell Peppers
I put a little olive oil in my water before it boils to keep my spaghetti from sticking together, but you do not have to add oil if you don’t like oils. While the water is warming to a boil, put a little olive oil(or cooking spray)in a small pan.Take your Tempeh strips and cut vertically into small bite sized pieces.Put the Tempeh, chopped onions, chopped bell peppers and saute’ until warm.I seasoned with black pepper, seasoning salt, and Itallian seasonings.(Feel free to “tweak” this recipe by adding tomatoes, asparagus, spinach,or other yummy veggies.)When the water pot comes to a boil, follow normal directions to spaghetti.Once you have rinsed your spaghetti after required time, add tempeh/vegetable mix.Add marinara sauce and stir! Done!
To make this an even heartier meal make garlic bread and/or fresh garden salad on the side! Enjoy! Please feel free to tell how YOU “tweaked” this simple yet filling Friday Night Veggie Dinner. 🙂
Some people use oils in the bath, for hair shampoo, conditioner, massaging body parts, massaging the scalp, and also for making perfumes. Essential oils are oil which are extracted from plants, trees, flowers, and sometimes seeds. They usually come in DARK small bottles either found at you local health food stores, or online shops.
A lot of people don’t realize this, but there are certain “rules” that must be conducted when you try to mix your oils. One thing to remember is to ALWAYS mix your essential oil with a carrier oil. Carrier oils are always light in color, and are in CLEAR bottles. Both types of oils are found in the same places for purchase. The percentage should be 4-5 drops of essential oil to 2 Tbsp. of carrier oil. Here is a picture of dark bottled essential oils with light bottled carrier oils. Essential
Now that I have taught you a little bit about what essential oils and carrier oils are, here is a fun recipe for you to try at home! -Natural Low PH Shampoo
1 Cup Liquid Soap(Castile soap is o.k.)
1/2 Cup of water
1/2 Tablespoon of Jojoba,or Avocado oil(whichever you like most)
5 Drops of Tea-Tree,Rosemary,and/or Lavender(whichever you like).
Have you tried any “homemade” bath and body oils recently? How did it make you feel to make your own versus store bought? Feel free to share!
In a world where everything is fast, can we get fast, full, and healthy? I’m trying for that! This is another quick recipe for those late nights after a long day at work! Is it a casserole? A stew? YOU have the option to make it according to YOUR liking! Feel free to “tweek it” until you come up with a masterpiece!
I used a quarter of the pepper and onion mix bag, crumblers, potato and veggie mix,and since I love mushrooms, I also added that too! I cooked the crublers, seasoning salt, black pepper, and pepper mix together in a pan until thawed while the potato mix was steaming in the microwave. I added all ingredients together in the pan after the potato mix was finished and continued to stir for another 5 minutes. Voila! A meal in less than 10 minutes! I also added veggie cheddar to make it even more filling!
If you try this or any other recipe, please tell how it turned out! Feel free to share! 🙂
I participate in this theory and believe very deeply that if all human beings followed suit then the world just may be better off. For those of you who are not familiar with the terminology, “Pay It Forward” simply means that you do a nice/helpful thing for someone(preferably a random stranger) and they in turn should do something for someone else in need. This idea was made into a movie in the year 2000.
I fully enjoyed the movie and understood that we as humans should be cordial to one another and want to help someone in need. I also understood that me as being a child of GOD should also do what it right at all times and in turn my blessings will come ten fold.I have one of a few examples of when the “pay it forward” has happened to me! Last year around Christmas time I found myself stranded with a dead car at a store parking lot.A complete stranger helped me and then two more came to my aid. The car would not jump and the older lady of the group insisted that I let her buy me a battery! That’s right, no joke, she literally brought me a battery! I really wanted to cry and told her that I didn’t have any money. She said to me:”Just think of me as your Angel”. Yeah, I know it was close to Christmas and it could have been a coincidence, but in my heart, I know KARMA is true! I acknowledged that if I came across someone else in need that it was MY DUTY to help, no if’s and’s or but’s about it! I have helped others and continue to do so not expecting anything more than a simple “Thank YOU”. Do you believe in Karma or do you think it’s a bunch of hooey? Have you seen the movie and if so, what did you think of it? Please share! 🙂
A few years ago I was strolling on YouTube and I ran across a series of videos all talking about the importance of a “vision board”. Now for those of you who are unfamiliar with this, it is simply creating a visual of things you would like/in the process of creating. It is said that if you actually “SEE” what you want it will be more achievable. For instance, if you want a better career, you would make a vision board of the KIND of career you want and thus seeing yourself accomplishing this goal.
Now I know you’re asking,”Have YOU made this so called board?” Yes, I have. I made my board last year because of course I am slow to “join the bandwagon” on anything! What do I think since making this? I think that although it’s nice to look at,these things happening TO ME if purely through the will of GOD himself! This is what MY vision board looks like(from the top)
MY vision board is not like any other. I have literally created my “dream home”. I have and still do lived in apartments and town-houses. Until I get financially able, my vision board is just a dream or wish board. Now the BOTTOM of my vision board COULD very well happen by the end of this year! You can’t see this part but I have all fitness and exercise routines,as well as men and women in shape and in their photo shoots. This part of my vision board is also inspiration! Do YOU have a vision board? If you were to make one today, what would YOUR board have on it? Share! 🙂
Today I chose to make “comfort food”. It was a chilly night last night and the forecast was said to be the same for tonight. So I made one of my favorite dishes. A big pot of chili! Yum!
This recipe takes about 40 minutes if you allow it all to boil first and then turn to simmer after 5 minutes. I started out with sesame garlic Tempeh and cut the strips into bite size pieces.(You’ll need a large pot for all items). I then added the 3 pepper and onion blend(about a hand full). Let the onion/pepper blend simmer in 1 Tbsp. of olive oil in the pot with the Tempeh for about 5 min. Then add the dark red reduced sodium kidney beans, the light red kidney beans, black beans(rinsed), and the stewed chili tomatoes. Let all ingredients boil for about 5 minutes, then turn to simmer in the pot for about 40 minutes. Let cool and serve!
A Delicious, Quick, and Healthy Vegetarian Comfort Meal for any night! Enjoy!
Do YOU have any favorite Vegetarian/Vegan meals you like to make in less than an hour? Feel free to share them! 🙂
I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but I am a licensed cosmetologist. I am currently working in retail BUT I keep up with my extra classes so that my license will still be of some value to me. I have taken classes in esthetics(skin and waxing), barbering, makeup, and natural hair. Natural hair is considered hair without any texture changing chemicals such as relaxers/perms etc. Color does not change the texture of your hair so some people do not look at color as not being a part of natural hair.
I have a YouTube channel that is mostly based on my “loc” journey as my hair is now locked. I also have videos on book reviews as well as a couple of Vegetarian recipes. This Skin Care video was a video that I originally posted for my channel, but due to low viewer count I took it down. I hope YOU enjoy the information!
